MMCM Summer CampsGrow a Garden: Campers will explore two days of soil, worms, seeds, compost, reading stories, fun projects, and art. Campers will take home their own plant and create a gardening journal.

Get Kid Fit:  For two days, campers will learn all about what it takes to keep their bodies healthy. Campers will warm up with “yoga for kids,” burn off energy with fun games and activities, learn to keep track of healthy habits, create healthy snacks, and develop healthy dental habits.

Try It All: In this science-based camp, campers will experience our museum galleries as they explore science experiments. Campers will learn about water, air currents, magnets, electricity, and create a playful polymer to take home. Two separate sessions of this one-day camp are available.

Michigan History Alive: Campers will experience early Great Lakes history through hands-on activities designed for younger learners. They will examine the furs and pelts traded throughout the Great Lakes region, check out the clothing of the 18th century, and practice digging like an archeologist. Campers will learn early American and American Indian crafts. Two separate sessions of this one-day camp are available.

Cook What You Grow:  Campers will explore the advantages of a garden as they harvest the fruits and vegetables grown throughout the summer.  From the garden, campers will create crafts, art, and healthy snacks. Stories, games, and experiments will teach children about the MMCM children’s garden beds.
